Victory

This rooster was painted one evening during my art class. I was unprepared with the canvas size I needed for what I had planned to paint, so I grabbed a reference photo and painted this. The rooster symbolizes many things over many cultures, but the one I love best is the reminder that his crowing at dawn symbolizes the victory of light over darkness also representing Christ's resurrection and the triumph of life over death.
