About me
I have found that painting, like music, is learned through disciplined practice and attention - a pursuit that deepens over a lifetime. I began painting seriously several years ago and continue to study through online coursework as well as in-person instruction with accomplished artists and organizations.
I see painting as a way of honoring creation and inviting stillness in a hurried world. I am drawn to quiet moments, careful observation, and the way light reveals form and meaning on a subject.
For over two decades, I've been blessed to raise six children and while making our home in the beautiful state of Utah. As a family, we've spent countless hours hiking peaks, mountain biking, canyoneering, skiing, and rock climbing. My husband and I spent a lot of years pushing kids up the mountains, and now they have to push me.
Through it all, I've loved finding the connection to all things with the Creator of all things. I am grateful for our Savior and this beautiful world that He created.
